Joe and I have a semi-annual practice of recording a Christmas song together. This year we were trying to decide on a cover and I sat down, opened up the cosmic channel and ushered in this depressing gem.
By now most people know that over the past year some months I've lost my newborn baby and his father.
So this song is obviously a holiday forecast as well as a song about the extreme lack of compassion that some people, ironically those meant to be your friends, can sometimes have towards you when you are someone who undergoes extremely traumatic events. I get it, it gets tired and people don't want to get any of it on them... But still.
